When sites and services don't have the common courtesy to redirect you to where you've been when nagging for verification

Like come on now, why do you have to nag me to make the millionth account I don't care about maintaining, just to access your site and do what I intend to do in it. Just so you don't redirect me back to where I was prior to you nagging me to sign up? The least you could do is that.

They are intentionally making websites frustrating so we'll use their stupid proprietary apps instead.

the. explain why the apps are also frustratingly annoying

the longer you spend on either looking at their shit, the more likely you are to buy something. i think is how the logic goes.

"Login complete: Redirecting you to our 'service dashboard' where you can look at all the things we offer instead of the things you want"

As a web developer this grinds my gears. It’s dead easy to fix this.
